Department of Culture and Associations
The Department of Culture and Associations is a new department reporting directly to the Board of Culture and Associations. The department is responsible for libraries, public culture, art hall, swimming facilities, music school, citizen service center, sports and leisure activities, and tourism. Our goal is to offer all municipal residents a rich and varied cultural and leisure offering, based on the needs and wishes of our citizens.
The Music School
At the music school, we are a cheerful, friendly, curious, and serious team. With the students at the center, we ensure there is much interaction during lessons but also in other contexts. In addition to lessons, we offer orchestras/ensembles and choirs, as well as a lively outward-facing activity. Music should be built on joy, and playing together is an important path to achieve this!

Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for teaching transverse and recorder flute students at the music school. You will also have a number of beginner piano students, as well as the course "Instrument Play - Try It Out," where children can test different instruments before deciding. Basic knowledge of various instruments is therefore advantageous. You have experience teaching individually and in groups. You are accustomed to organizing concerts/projects yourself and/or together with colleagues, as well as inspiring students to participate in ensemble playing.
Teaching takes place in Staffanstorp on Mondays and in Hjärup on Wednesdays.
The position is an hourly contract.
Qualifications
It is important that you demonstrate your pedagogical experience and competence. We are looking for someone with a degree from a music university with a focus on both transverse/recorder flute and pedagogy.
You have the ability to create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally. You collaborate well with people in various contexts and functions. You encourage student learning and are happy to share knowledge that is useful for the organization and your colleagues. You have the ability to plan and organize your work, as well as follow up and conclude activities.
Recruiting students is part of the job and is largely your own responsibility.
Teaching takes place in Staffanstorp on Mondays and in Hjärup on Wednesdays.
It is an asset if you have a B driver's license and access to your own car.
Employment Terms
